Contender 31 Open

The 31 Open (33′ length overall) is arguably the BEST center-console hull ever produced. It is a solid deep-V offshore hull. Powered with twin Yamaha F300s, she’s a solid 50mph boat. She preforms well on those long offshore runs, but she’s also perfect for running and gunning on inshore for false albacore, stripers and bluefish. 20′ Maritime Skiff

There Maritime Skiff is the perfect Jamaica Bay boat. It’s a large, beamy inshore skiff powered by a quick yet extraordinarily quite Yamaha F115. This boat capable of getting into some very shallow water which is very useful when the stripers set up on Jamaica Bay’s mud flats. It is outfitted with a Min Kota auto-deploy electric trolling motor as well as a polling platform on those days where extra stealth is required. It is primarily our inshore/fly fishing boat, and is set up to where there are minimal areas where fly-line can tangle. It also ain’t a bad boat to chase albies on as Capt. Danny can attest to. We love this skiff and have been running it pretty hard since 2003. We’ve put A LOT of fish on this boat over the years. It’s an understatement to say that it’s fishy as hell.

Maritime Skiff Rates (up to 3 people) 50

2.5-hours (pre-work): $350

4-hours: $700

6-hours: $800

8-hours: $900

20′ Hewes Light Tackle

The “Fly Tide” is a super fast skiff that can run in about 6″ of water. It is a great Jamaica Bay Boat, and we put it to use back there, mostly fishing poppers up against the sod banks. But, where it really shines is on the sand flats on the backside of Fire Island, where there is a little known extraordinary sight-fishery back there. White sand flats and fast moving water create some awesome fishing if you can hit it right. We generally fish this boat out there in Mid may to mid June, but it’s home is in Jamaica Bay.

20′ Hewes Rates (up to 2 people)

2.5 hours (pre-work): $300

4 hours: :$650

6 hours: $750
